Mixed-Use Development
Overview:
A joint venture between Passco Waikoloa, LLC and Metric Waikoloa, LLC was
created
to complete entitlements, and/or construction of a 45-acre mixed-use master-planned
development on the Big Island of Hawaii (Kona) primarily consisting of:
- Up to 200,000 square feet of rentable retail/commercial space
- Approximately 300 apartments within a secure and amenitized setting
- A limited-service or extended-stay hotel with approximately 150 rooms
- Business/Office Park
Location:
The 45-acre site is located in Waikoloa Village, 6 miles up-hill from Waikoloa
Beach and its world-renown resort hotels including the Hilton Waikoloa Village,
Four Seasons, Hualalay,
Mauna Lani and the Fairmont Orchid. It possesses sweeping ocean views, over 1,400
linear feet of frontage along the main thoroughfare of Waikoloa Road, and is located
at the entrance to the town of Waikoloa Village. The area boasts of numerous golf
courses, as well as plans for increased residential communities, encompassing over
2,000 new residencies.
- The Kohala Gold Coast
Waikoloa Village is part of the Kohala Gold Coast region of the Big Island of
Hawaii, stretching north from the city of Kailua-Kona and encompassing many of the
premier resort destinations in the Hawaiian Islands.
Two major highways-a coastal highway and an interior highway-link the Kohala Coast
to the remainder of the island. The regions's favorable climate has made it a favorite
year-round vacation spot, and permanent destination for retirees and second-home
buyers from Asia and the United States mainland.
